TIME DIVISION MULTIPLEX ACCESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEM AND TIME DIVISION MULTIPLEX ACCESS COMMUNICATION METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the system efficiency of a time division multiplex access system by using a reduced data burst including a 1st guard time and a usual data burst including a 2nd guard time shorter than the 1st guard time. SOLUTION: A remote unit (PID) 800 sends a reduced data burst including a guard time shorter than the length of a usual data burst to a central control unit (head end) 850 at first. The head end 850 sends corrected timing information to the PID 800 based on a time difference between a reference time and a time when an up-link signal is received. The PID 800 adjusts the sent timing according to received timing adjustment information. After the timing is verified by the head end 850, the PID 800 starts usual communication by sending a data burst with a usual length not including the guard time.
