PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To transfer an image with the minimum image defect and a maximum quantity of transferring toner by electrostatically transferring the image from the initial image member onto an intermediate transferring member, and thereafter transferring the image from the intermediate transferring member onto a receiving sheet. SOLUTION: The electrostatic latent image is formed on the initial image member 11. Then, in order to from the toner image by adopting the dry toner having a volume-weighted diameter of about 1 to 10 micron corresponding to the electrostatic latent image, a toning is applied on the electrostatic latent image by the dry toner. Next, under the presence of an electric field for energizing the toner particle from the initial member 11 toward the intermediate transferring member 22 coated with beads having the volume-weighted diameter less than about 3 micron, the toner image is transferred from the initial image member 11 onto the intermediate transferring member 22, and under the presence of the electric field for energizing the toner particle from the intermediate transferring member 22 toward a receiving sheet, the toner image is transferred from the intermediate transferring member 22 onto the receiving sheet. |
