摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the rate of utilization of fuel in anode gas or reduce the amount of consumption of quality improving steam generated by a waste heat recovering device and further improve a plant efficiency by a method wherein a gas flow direction in a circulating pipe passage is connected to a pipe passage for feeding a reforming chamber of a reformer. SOLUTION: A part of anode discharged gas GEA discharged from an anode 3a of a fuel battery 3 during a power generating operation is fed to a combustion chamber 1b of a reformer 1, combustible substances in the anode discharged gas GEA are combusted with heat of cathode discharged gas GEC supplied from a cathode 3b of the fuel battery 3 to the combustion chamber 1b so as to reform the fuel gas GF fed into the reforming chamber 1a. In turn, residual anode discharged gas GEA is made to flow from a connecting position X1 to an anode discharged gas circulating pipe 36. The fuel gas GF fed within a fuel gas feeding pipe 7 is preheated at the fuel gas preheater 2 and then the gas is made to flow into the fuel gas feeding pipe 7 through the circulating pipe 36. The gas is supplied to the reforming chamber 1a together with fuel gas GF and fed to the anode 3a together with anode gas GA.
