PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a thin toner layer uniformly for a long period of time and yield a high quality image stably. SOLUTION: A restriction member 30 to restrict the thickness of a toner 14 attached to the surface of a developing roller 22 has the first restricting member 30a and the second restricting member 30b. The first restricting member 30a is electroconductive and one of its main surfaces (surface of belly part) is arranged to be in press contact with the surface of the roller 22, and thereby the thickness of the toner 14 is restricted to the specified value. The second restricting member 30b is made of synthetic resin and fixed to a housing 16 in such a way that the edge (angle) part contacts with the surface of the roller 22. Accordingly the toner layer restricted by the first restricting member 30a is further restricted into the optimum thickness by the second restricting member 30b. |
