PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To transmit a torque smoothly from the drive shaft to a developing roller and prevent generation of jitters resulting from vibrations of the roller. SOLUTION: An image forming device concerned includes a developing unit 12 having a developing roller 14 to develop an electrostatic latent image formed on a photo-sensitive element using a toner, wherein the unit 12 is mounted on the device body removably, and a drive roller 29 to drive the roller 14 is installed coaxially therewith. A joint device 30 is furnished to coupled together the drive shaft 29 and developing roller 14 in such a way as admitting relative dislocation of their centers within the specified allowable range. When the developing unit 12 is mounted on the device body in such an arrangement that the axes of the shaft 29 and roller 14 are dislocated from each other, the rotation of the drive shaft 29 can smoothly be transmitted to the roller 14 owing to this joint device 30, and vibration of the roller 14 is suppressed to lead to prevention of jitters. |
