PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To set up a suitable threshold always at the time of binarizing a picture independently of the colored state of the surface of a cartridge and a printed image in a tablet inspecting device for detecting the number of pieces of tablet sealed in a light transmissive cartridge. SOLUTION: The tablet inspecting device is provided with a CCD camera 7 for photographing a cartridge 15 set up on an inspecting position and a picture processor 3 for binarizing a grey level picture obtained from the camera 7, processing a binary picture and counting the number of pieces of tablet 10 in the cartridge 15. In the grey level picture binarizing process, the binary picture is labeled, the number of labels obtained by the labeling is compared with a prescribed reference value, and when the number of labels exceeds the reference value, a threshold for binarization is changed in a direction of reducing the number of labels. |
