<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect presence of a communication path not in use with a simple configuration and to make transmission simultaneously when an idle channel is available by providing a communication path table storing status information of the communication path. SOLUTION: The repeater is provide with a communication path table storing status information denoting whether or not plural communication paths being shop channels 7b of a credit private line network 7. Upon the receipt of a message inquiring about approval of credit account via an in-line 3 from each credit terminal 2, the communication path table is retrieved to check the presence of a communication path not in use. When the communication path not in use is detected, the communication path is used to make transmission to a host computer 6 of a credit card issue company corresponding to the received approval inquiry message. On the other hand, when not found out, the message is stored in a re-transmission file 8 and the communication path table is monitored to await occurrence of the communication path not in use.</p> |
