PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide design environment high in operation efficiency by deleting or reducing display/nondisplay specifying operation for layer constitution information. SOLUTION: When an operator specifies an editing item by operating an input part 4. a control part 2 performs retrieval from a display needed/unneeded layer table stored in a storage part 3 according to the specified editing item and performs display/nondisplay control over layer constitution information at a display part 5. Consequently, layer constitution information which needs to be displayed is displayed according to the selected editing item without display/nondisplay specifying operation by the operator and layer constitution information which need not be displayed is not displayed.
