Infrared data interface for data transfer between data terminal devices

The infrared data interface can contain one transmission diode (RD) in a transmission module (SM1). A number of liquid crystal windows (LF1-LF5) arranged around the transmission diode can be controlled to be directionally selectively transparent to light. Alternatively, the interface can contain a number of transmission diodes (D1-D7) which in total cover a spatial angle and which can be controlled directionally selectively. The direction selection can be implemented by repeated call-up of a detection mechanism.
