发明名称 Enhancing biological biochemical and chemical reactions using structured liquids and solids
摘要 It is well known that water molecules form stable rigid structures. The most common of these, ice I occurs naturally, at 4 degrees centigrade at a pressure of 1 atmosphere. Under artificial conditions, ice VI can be formed at room temperature by subjecting the water to a very high hydrostatic pressure (> 7 kilobars). Such high pressure can also exist on a microscopic level between an ion and its nearby water molecules due to electrostatic attraction between the charge of an ion and the electric dipole moments of a water molecule. Stable rigid structures of water molecules similar to ice VI can be grown in water at room temperature and normal pressure. The stable rigid structures so formed can be filtered, concentrated and photographed using a transmission-electron-microscope. It has been discovered that these stable rigid structures create catalytic reactions in various chemical, biological and structured solids reactions. For example the growth rate of E. Coli and B. Subtilis bacteria is significantly enhanced by the presence of small amounts of these rigid structures in an aqueous growth culture. This discovery has significant applications for speeding up reaction rates in various industrial chemical and fermentation processes.
