The position determining system is provided with a planet gearbox, which has an internal planet gear (46) held rotational by a cover-plate (36) of the position determining system and a planet gearwheel engaging in this. The planet gearbox is geared with the moving body, and is operated by a movement force due to its movement in a forward or a reverse direction. A switching section which has a movable contact (60A, 60B, 61A, 61B), which is provided directly at the internal gear (46) and rotates directly with the internal planet gear. Also a fixed contact (50A, 50B), which can make contact with the moving contact (60A..). The switching section is in the position, to determine the previously determined position of the moving body, by switching ON and OFF of the operation of the section. A coupling mechanism, which transmits the movement force of the movable body from the planet gear (54) to the internal planet gear (46) and thereby prevents the rotation of the planet gearwheel (54) of the planet gearbox, so that the internal planet gear rotates, and the transmission of the rotary force of the movable body, directed in a forward direction on the internal gearwheel (46), by facilitating the rotation of the planet gear (54) in a position, in which the switch section is switched off. An initial position adjusting mechanism is so arranged that the internal gear (46) can be operated from outside the cover-plate (36), and rotation of gear (46) is prevented.
