A measurement probe (3) with acceleration blades for inclination determination is arranged in a measurement basket (1). There is a gyroscope-supported measurement system for ascertaining twisting movements of the probe or the basket in the centred position. The measurement basket with a spring-elastic support is centred and moved against the walls in the bore hole (2) or slot. The measurement probe is held at its upper end by a centering plate (6) and centering discs (7) together with a clamp and prism guide (8) and at its lower end is located by a conical bearing pin (9) in a centering ring (10).
