PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a practicable hybrid electric car without increasing the size of a storage apparatus by mounting an electric double-layered condenser as a storage apparatus and mounting a power generating means as a charging means. SOLUTION: This hybrid electric car is provided with a generator 11 driven, for example, by an internal combustion engine 10 and a mass storage condenser 20. The power generated by the generator 11 is transmitted to the condenser 20 through a charger 30 which has constant current characteristic for charging. The charger 30 can be mainly constituted of a current output type switching regulator. The power charged in the condenser 20 is supplied to a motor 50 driving for running wheels through an output converter 40. The condenser 20 consists of a plurality of serially-connected electric double-layered condensers, and to the serially-connected electric double-layered condenser, a charging limitation circuit is connected. |
