The blocking element (1) has a foldable body (2) that is connected to an axle (4), over which the blocking element is movable from an open position to a closed position. The foldable body has, in both its axially directed continuous boundary regions (6a,6b), an asymmetric cross-sectional profile (10). At least one end region (6a,6b) of the foldable body may have a first section (7a,7c) that continues to extend in a radial direction, as well as a second section (7b,7d) of both the boundary regions' developed sections (7a,7b,7c,7d) of the end region. There may be one sealing element (11) in at least one of the two boundary regions of the foldable body of the blocking element.
