Railway cross over for expansion joints in bridges and other similar structures

The cross over has two edge constructions with parallel running tracks. At least two removable coupling elements (11) are rigidly attached immediately next to one another, where two coupling elements under a track form a balancing beam supporting itself on the neighbouring track on which it is removably but rigidly connected. The coupling elements consist of two pieces of parallel layered elastomer bearings (13), the elastomer bearings being held together by joint overlapping connection bar (12). A gap (15) exists between the bars and elastomer bearings, and the connection plate (17) under the tracks or alternatively the edge constructions. The elastomer bearing in the middle of the joint is unstressed.
