<p>When equipping a milling cutter body with cutting inserts and shims, the insert seat of the milling cutter body have a positive axial inclination and preferably a negative radial inclination. By the fact that one of the shims is somewhat thinner than the other shims, the axial projection increases for specifically that cutting insert. Thereby, specifically this cutting insert will produce the surface on the workpiece. It has turned out to be favourable for the surface smoothness, that only one cutting insert produces the surface.</p> |
