The damper (5) has a drive (4), relative to which a power take-off (7) can run with an offset. A housing lies between the drive and take-off. Part of this housing is attached to the drive and rotates with it. The damper proper lies within the housing and is elastically attached to the drive and take-off so as to limit their angular offset and damp their torsional oscillations. A powdery lubricant lies within the housing. The drive and take-off are preferably attached via a leaf spring (23).
