A mortar grouting type connector for reinforcing bars (6-a, 6-b) having a grouting port (4-a) or a discharging port (4-b) adjacent to either end, a plurality of annular ridges (2) provided on its internal surface and a stopper (3) provided approximately at its mid-length portion, wherein a plurality of longitudinal flanges (5) for alignment are provided which extend from around the stopper (3) to one end opening of the connector (1). The flanges (5) are to prevent the tip of the reinforcing bar (6-b) inserted into the connector (1) from being displaced.
