<p>PURPOSE:To enable flying cutting a rejected part during a strip is passed through and to improve productivity and yield by tracking the starting and ending points of flying width change. CONSTITUTION:A trimmer device consists of a pair of trimmer stands, width change is executed in flying in accordance with the information of width from a host computer and a position in the breadthwise direction detecting signal is outputted to a tracking device. In the case that a narrow material 11 and wide material 12 are connected and advanced, when the strip 10 is advanced in the direction of the arrow A, flying width change from the narrow material 11 to the wide material 12 is executed. Inversely, even when the strip 10 is advanced in the direction of the arrow B, flying width change is similarily executed. A section E (a part of C to D) from the starting point to the ending point of flying width change in accordance with the traveling direction of the strip 10 is tracked with the tracking device to the advance of the strip 10 and the flying width changing section E is automatically cut off and removed. In this way, productivity and yield are improved and a high-quality strip is obtained.</p> |
