The valve has a spring-loaded double plug (17) working against inlet and outlet seats (18,19) in a hollow sliding tappet (20). An adjusting drive mechanism (6) with a guide piece (27) and an eccentric cam and detection of the vehicle height. The mechanism controls a shut-off position for a first vehicle height, and in which both inlet and outlet valves (17-19) are shut. In line with the tappet is a control plunger (28) supplied with compressed air via a control chamber (31). Altering the shut-off position allows setting to a second vehicle height. The control chamber is contained in the guide piece, in which the plunger slides for a limited amount, forming a sealed joint, allowing setting of the second height, without loading of the adjusting mechanism cam by the force acting on the plunger. |
