<p>PURPOSE:To prevent the lowering of heat efficiency and nonuniform heating in a verical heating furnace. CONSTITUTION:The side wall 13 of the induction heating furnace is supported by plural water-cooled metallic-pipe struts 21 arranged along the furnace periphery, and a ceramic strut 24 is arranged between the struts 21. When a heating material 1 is tumbled over the side wall 13 or struck against the side wall, the side wall 13 is supported by the struts 21, and the impact on the ceramic strut 24 is relieved. Consequently, since the ceramic strut 24 is not cooled, the heat insulating characteristic of the entire side wall 13 is improved, and the local temp. drop of the heating material 1 is reduced.</p> |
