<p>PURPOSE:To widen the sweat area of the head of an iron or putter and to lower the centroid thereof. CONSTITUTION:Weight liners 12a, 13a consisting of a beryllium copper alloy are respectively located in the peripheral part on the face 1a side and the peripheral part on the back 2a side of a head body 11a consisting of a titanium alloy. Particularly the back side weight liner 13a has a weight sole part 20a extending to a sole 3a in its lower part. This weight sole part 20a is formed larger in width on the toe side and the heel side. Then, the weight distribution of the head is concentrated largely to the peripheral part with respect to the face 1a and the sweat area is widened. The centroid is lowered by the weight sole part 20a.</p> |
