<p>PURPOSE:To enable recognition of both data of distance and speed at a glance by displaying changes of both data as a graph of which coordinates represent the distance and the speed, respectively, as a displaying method of a quay- approach speedometer between the quay and an object ship. CONSTITUTION:When an object ship SP makes approach to a quay GG, supersonic wave US is transmitted from a quay-approach speedometer SN placed on the quay GG, and echo thereof from the ship SP is received, to measure distance from the quay GG and to calculate the quay-approach speed from changes thereof. The measured distance and the speed are traced on a graph by a display device and are transmitted to the ship SP by radio and/or optical signal to serve controlling of the each ship SP. In this way, the ship SP can read out the changes of distance from the quay at a glance.</p> |
