<p>PURPOSE:To improve resonance supercharging effect by providing every set of 1-4 cylinders and of 2-3 cylinders with a resonance intake passage having no resonance enlarging part, and arranging the second collecting passage for the 1-4 cylinders outside the second collecting passage for the 2-3 cylinders to reduce difference in distance between the groups of the cylinders. CONSTITUTION:An intake passage 3 to supply intake air into each of cylinders 1a-1d of a four cylinder engine is provided with the first collecting passage 5 to collect independent intake passages 4a, 4d to 1-4 cylinders and the second collecting passage 6 to collect independent intake passages 4b, 4c to 2-3 cylinders. The first and the second intake supplying passage 7, 8 on the upstream side are connected to the first and second collecting passage 5, 6, and both the intake supplying passage 7, 8 join at a branching part 9 functioning as a pressure reversing part on the upstream side. The first collecting passage 5 is arranged outside the second collecting passage 6. The first intake supplying passage 7 is extended from the first collecting passage 5 in a direction of the arrangement of the cylinders, and the second intake supplying passage 8 is extended downward from the second collecting passage 6, and then bent in the direction of the arrangement of the cylinders.</p> |
