<p>PURPOSE:To enable full lock to be performed to skip half lock by permitting a click set at a ratchet, not to move to the side of a latch, when the click is confronted with a half-engaging step section, and by permitting the click to move to the side of the latch, when the click is confronted with a full- engaging section. CONSTITUTION:A latch 1 to be rotated by an actuator 13 is provided with a half-engaging step section 4, a full-engaging step section 5, and a striker- engaging groove 3. A ratchet 8 is provided with a clock 9, and the click 9 can be engaged with the half-engaging step section 4 and the ful-engaging step section 5. After that, on the ratchet 8, an overcenter spring 12 is fitted. When a door is closed and when the click 9 is faced to the half-engaging step section 4, then the click 9 is not moved to the side of the latch 1, and when the click 9 is faced to the full-engaging step section 5, then the click 9 is contrived to be moved to the side of the latch 1. As a result, when half lock is skipped and full lock can be performed and it is applied for a side door, then the trouble of the opening or the like of the side door when a switch is carelessly turned ON, can be avoided.</p> |
