PURPOSE:To make it possible to easily and efficiently position a mold by a method wherein an engaging projected part is introduced through an opening on the edge face of the carrying-in side of the mold in a guide groove so as to engage it to a carrying direction controlling part at the carrying-in and transferring of the mold. CONSTITUTION:When the carrying-in of a mold 5 in a molder I is to be performed, the mold 5 is shifted to an exchange station 11 by circulatingly driving the mold 5 stored in a mold magazine 10 under the conditions that respective roller clamp units 6 are held at their lowermost positions and respective clamp units 7 are held at their uppermost positions so as to carry the mold 5, which is placed on the pallet 16 of the exchange station 11 by driving a push-pull driving device 25, through an intermediate carrying conveyer 12 to a carrying-in and -out position 13. At the carrying-in and transferring of the mold 5, the mounting face of a fixed mold 5a is carried so as to correspond to the position ahead of the platen face 1a of the fixed platen 1 by several millimeters in order to introduce an engaging projection 5c from the left end opening of a guide groove 9 in the guide groove 9. Further, as the mold 5 is shifted rightwards, the engaging projection 5c of the mold 5 is shifted rightwards in the positioning guide groove 9 so as to abut against and engage with a carrying direction controlling part 86a in order to be positioned in a carrying direction (or in a horizontal direction) as indicated with a two-dotted chain line. |
