The track has sleepers (12) disposed on a ballast bed (10) and rails (14) secured to the sleepers. Although the sleepers are closely disposed adjacently, they do not contact one another, leaving an in between gap. Each sleeper has at least one draining channel (134) running across the longitudinal direction of the track for lateral collection of water. The channels are of one-piece structure on the sleepers, and are inclined in the longitudinal direction of the sleepers (12). Th draining channels have a saddle-shaped top, with two opposing inclined sections. The upper sides of the sleepers are formed inclinedly at least partly in the longitudinal direction of the track. A gap cap (142) is provided to cover and seal the gap from above. |
