CERAMIC LAMINATED MATERIAL AND ITS PRODUCTION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a ceramic laminated material having moderate strength and a high margin for defects. SOLUTION: This ceramic laminated material has an Si3 N4 -base densified layer contg. 1-15wt.% sintering aid as each 1st layer 11, a porous layer formed on the 1st layer 11 and contg. SiC whiskers having <=2μm average diameter and an aspect ratio of >=10 as each 2nd layer 12 and an Si3 N4 -base densified layer formed on the 2nd layer 12 and contg. 1-15wt.% sintering aid as each 3rd layer 11. The 2nd layer 12 has <=500μm thickness and contains >=40vol.% of the SiC whiskers.
