PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a DNA coding a cytochrome P450 important for a biosynthesis of glucosinolate from a gene specifically generating after treating with a jasmonic acid. SOLUTION: This DNA has an amino acid sequence of the formula and codes a cytochrome P450 containable substitution, deletion, insertion, addition or transition of more than one amino acid as far as not substantially injuring activity of the cytochrome P450, and is, e.g, CYP93A1 as one of the gene obtained by a jasmonic acid treatment of a culturing cell of a soybean. This DNA is useful for accumulating a protecting substance against a pathogenic fungus in a plant, producing a useful crop generating slight synthetic amount of glucosinolate and also controlling, etc., of a synthetic amount of a secondary metabolite. |
