PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make constant a gap between a fixed tank and a rotary tank irrespective of change in temp. in a barrel machining device composed of the fixed tank and the rotary tank by annularly disposing thermal expansion allowing means for a lining layer at a specified width at a height corresponding to a minute gap between the tanks. SOLUTION: A fixed tank 3 is constructed with the provision of a uletane lining layer on the inner side of cast iron made fixed tank 1, and a rotary tank 6 is constructed with the provision of a lining layer 5 above a case iron made rotary tank 4 so hat a lower end of the tank 3 is closed thereby. Between an inner wall of the tank 1 and an outer wall of the lining layer 2 neoprene rubber plate of continuous foaming type with a specified thickness is interposed annularly to serve as means for allowing thermal expansion. The width in the upper and lower directions and the thickness of the plate 7 is determined under the conditions to keep a distance or space S between the tanks 3, 6 without change or to keep the same substantially. For example, the thickness of the rubber plate 7 should be at least 6mm in the case of thermal expansion of 0.5-1.5mm when the temp. of the tanks is 60-70 deg.C. |
