<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new plant capable of controlling weed through the use of phosphinotricin being a high safety herbicide and performing safe and simple lawn management by introducing phosphinotricin resistant gene into the lawn, and transforming. SOLUTION: The plant is obtained by transforming by introducing phosphinotricin resistant gene. The plant is obtained by introducing the gene to a protoplast by suspending a vector having the phosphinotricin resistant gene of 1 to 100μg/ml and protoplast originating from a Zoisis Japonica Steud of 10<5> to 10<6> pieces/ml into a buffer containing mannitol being an osmotic pressure adjusting agent, and then applying an electric pulse consisting of electric field intensity of 300 to 600V/cm and time constant of 10 to 50ms thereto. The protoplast is cultured at last. As the vector, p35Spat having the resistant gene, the promoter of a 35SRNA gene originating from cauliflower mosaic virus and a terminator originating from an NOS gene is exemplified.</p> |
