INK JET RECORDING HEAD CLEANING SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet recording head wherein ink scraped by a cleaning member does not adhere again to the outlet surface of a recording head and thereby prevents blocking or a discharge error. SOLUTION: A cleaning member 44 is made to contact an absorbing member 48 by providing the cleaning member 44 which contacts the outlet face 46 of an ink jet recording head 45 and cleans the outlet face by moving the ink jet recording head 45 in the first direction and an absorbing member 48 which absorbs ink 49 sticking to the cleaning member 44 and moving the ink jet recording head 45 in the second direction opposite the first one after cleaning of the outlet surface 46.
