PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically generate a rescue signal during emergency evacuation by arranging a solar battery on the outer surface at the upper part of an enclosed container, so that a signal generating circuit can be operated by its generation to transmit electric waves from a transmitting antenna, and providing a switch circuit between the solar battery arid the signal generating circuit. SOLUTION: When a ship is turned over and a container 1 for a rescue signal generator is dipped into sea water, the container 1 is escaped from a residing tool and started to float on sea water. At this time, the rescue signal generator has a weight 2 directed downward to cause the conduction of a mercury switch circuit 7, the operation of a rescue signal generating circuit 8 and the transmission of a rescue signal from a transmitting antenna 9. The element of a solar battery 3 is additionally provided on the outer surface at the upper part 1a of the container 1 and covered with a permeable synthetic resin coat 4 thereon. A current from the solar battery 3 is carried through a backflow preventing circuit 5 containing a diode to a charger circuit 6 such as a nickel cadmium battery, where it is accumulated, and time rescue signal generating circuit 8 is operated by the power of the charger circuit 6. |
