<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric motor reducing a cost further with rotating switchable of an output shaft without performing switching of a current in an electric motor. SOLUTION: When an armature 30 is rotated in a direction of arrow mark C (left hand turn), this rotation is transmitted to a first gear part 91 of a planetary gear 90 through an armature shaft 40 and a sun gear 42. Since a clearance is generated between a second contact member 210 and a flange part 204 of a rotation maintaining unit 200, it is prevented from rotation regulation relating to a housing 80, and since rotation is regulated relating to the housing 80 in an internal gear 110, the planetary gear 90 is rotated on its own axis of the periphery of a pin 73, also rotated in a right hand turn of the periphery of the armature shaft 40, so as to decelerate rotating of the armature shaft 40, an output shaft 70, as shown by arm arrow mark D, can be rotated in the same direction (left hand turn) to a direction of rotation of the armature shaft 40. By rotating this output shaft 70, steering is assisted.</p> |
