PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductive foamed roll which does not generate inferior forming of an image and fog of a photosensitive body. SOLUTION: A compsn. with the solid content of 60% is obtd. by incorporating sulfur, zinc white, a vulcanization accelerator, potassium oleate, an aqueous dispersion of sodium silifluoride and a dispersion of carbon into an acrylonitrile- butadiene-isoprene copolymer latex and this compsn. is strongly stirred by means of a mixer to mix air therein and to make the mixture mechanically foam to 5-fold foaming rate. Then, the mixture is fed into a mold to obtain a foamed gelatinized product and this foamed gelatinized product is vulcanized by heating for 60min at 130 deg.C to obtain a foamed body and the outer peripheral face of this foamed body is smoothed by abrading and finally it is sticked o the outer periphery of a stainless core metal with an adhesive to obtain a semiconductive foamed roll. The mean cell diameter of the foamed body layer of this semiconductive foamed roll is 10-200μm and the density of the foamed body is 0.1-0.4g/cm<3> and its ASKER hardness F and C are respectively 30-90 and 0.1-20 degree and the electric resistance between the core metal and the outer peripheral face of the roll is 10<3> -10<11>Ω.cm. |
