PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow the travel of a train at a speed suitable for its speed zone, properly absorb a substantial speed input error in a high speed zone and reduce train intervals in a low speed zone. SOLUTION: This device has a multiple configuration of systems 1 and 2 for comparing and checking train speeds 5 and 6 with limit speed patterns 3 and 4, and outputting brake instructions 23 and 24 for decelerating or stopping a train, when the train speeds 5 and 6 exceed the limit speed patterns 3 and 4. Regarding the device so formed, brake synchronous width is set, depending on the train speeds 5 and 6, so that the brake operation of one system 1 or 2 is detected during brake operation for lowering the limit speed patterns 3 or 4 of the other system by the prescribed value (brake synchronous width) and, then, lowering the limit speed patterns 3 or 4 at the time of synchronizing brake output. That is, the brake synchronous width is calculated by multiplying the limit speed pattern 3 or 4 by a proportional factor, and adding a correction for a speed checking delay to the multiplied value. Furthermore, the limit speed patterns 3 and 4 are lowered by the calculated brake synchronous width, when the train speed exceeds the speed limit patterns 3 and 4. |
