PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wire saw which need not highly strengthen a reel by contriving the way of perfectly absorbing the varying tension of a cutting wire. SOLUTION: A tension applying mechanism 11 is arranged between a working roller 1 for winding a cutting wire 4 around a material to be cut and a feed roller 7. In addition, a tension applying mechanism 12 is arranged between the working roller 1 and a takeup reel 8. In addition, both tension applying mechanisms 11, 12 consist of a servo motor 48 connected to a drive control circuit comprising a control panel, a tension detecting sensor, a tension meter and a servo amplifier, a servo motor of the same composition as the drive control circuit, dancer arms 14, 15, and a gear. |
