PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent such vermin as mite, etc., from propagating, as well as to make it possible to wash this bedding with water, by setting a specific value to the ratio of polyester-based fibers vs. the entire bedding, by adding the vermin-protection fibers into the stuffing cottons and by closing both the side cloths and stuffed cottons. SOLUTION: This bedding consists of a material containing the polyester- based fibers of slow drying speed so that changing the size through rubbing the bedding by water flow or through drying is less. When the fibers having hydroscopicity and the like are mixed in, the ratio of using the polyester-based fibers vs. the weight of entire bedding is set to >/=60wt%, from the view points of reducing the changes in size, volume, touch and appearance and slowing the drying speed. As bedding, both the side cloths and stuffed cottons are quilted together with a quilting machine or closed by a Japanese sewing machine. The short fibers are also used for stuffing cottons of this bedding. Further, the vermin-protection fibers contained in the stuffing cottons can be obtained through a method for adding, e.g. a pyrethroid-based compound through a later processing. |
