<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remove foreign matter by a blower means without installing an air discharge hole through which air is discharged. SOLUTION: A foreign matter removing device 20 is provided with a belt conveyor 21, a blowing means 24, a housing 23 and a hopper 22. Raw material fed from the belt conveyor 21 is fed falling from a terminal part 21a thereof. The blower means 24 sends air almost perpendicular to a falling route in the lower part of a foreign matter falling side housing 27 to blow off falling metal chips toward a raw material feeding side housing 28. The metal chips that have been blown off are fed into a hopper 22 through a raw material feeding hole 26 formed in an upper cover 25 of the hopper 22. Foreign matter heavier than the metal chips fall to a foreign matter discharging bottom cover 33. An air intake of the blowing means 24 communicates with the hopper 22 through a blowing air inductive duct 52. Therefore, blowing air is circulated through the blowing air housing 23, the hopper 22 and the blowing air inductive duct 52.</p> |
