PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to form a black image having excellent image preservability such as light resistance by forming a heat sensitive transfer layer containing at least one type of dye represented by a specific formula and a dye having light absorption peak in a specific wavelength. SOLUTION: A heat sensitive transfer layer containing at least one type of dye represented by a formula I and at least one type selected from dyes represented by formulae II and III and a dye having a light absorption peak in 400 to 500nm is formed on a support to obtain a heat sensitive transfer recording material for obtaining an image having high density and excellent image stability or particularly a white and black image. In the formulae, R<1> is hydrogen atom, R<2> is aromatic carbon ring group which may be substituted, R<4> and R<5> are hydrogen atom, alkyl group, X<1> is methine group, Y<1> is atom group for forming aromatic carbon ring. R<3> represents a formula IV, R<6> represents a formula V, Y<2> and Y<3> are atom group for forming a nitrogen- containing armoatic heterocycle, and X<2> is carbon or nitrogen atom. |
