A bisphosphite compound of the following formula (I): (I) wherein W is a substituted or unsubstituted arylene group, L is a substituted or unsubstituted alkylene or alkenylene group, X is an oxygen atom, and each of R1 to R4 which are the same or different, is a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl, aryl, alkylaryl, arylalkyl or alicyclic group, or R1 and R2, and/or R3 and R4, bond to each other to form a ring.
