<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To offer a golf club head which is handy for an average golfer by enlarging the size for an increased moment of inertia and deepening the center of gravity for improved directional properties and longer flying distances. SOLUTION: In an iron golf club head which has a space 4 formed between a face 2 and a back face 3, a toe 5, a heel 6, a sole 7, a top blade 8, a face 2, and a back face 3 are made of metal materials, constituting a head main body 1. In the central section of the back face 3, a comparatively large-sized window 20 is formed, and the face 2 and the back face 3 are so formed that they are of the thinnest thickness while the sole 7 and the top blade 8 are made thick, with the space 4 between the face 2 and the back face 3 filled with a fiber reinforced plastic 21.</p> |
