PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure steering responsiveness when battery voltage is decreased and prevent disturbance relating to a battery for running, in an electrohydraulic type power steering device for an electric vehicle. SOLUTION: A power cylinder 13 generating steering assist force in accordance with steering of a steering wheel 5 is provided in front wheels 2L, 2R, a hydraulic pump 19, supplying operating oil to this power cylinder 13 through a rotary selector valve 17 responding to steering torque, is drive rotated by a steering electric motor 21. This electric motor 21 is controlled by inputting a motor drive command value Ms of a steering controller 34 to a steering drive circuit 35. The motor drive command value MS is set based on a car speed VV, when battery voltage VB detected by a voltage sensor 38 is a preset value or more, the electric motor 21 is stopped at non-steering time, but when the voltage is less than the preset value, stop control is inhibited, rotating of the electric motor 21 is continued. |
