PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain excellent softening flowability by incorporating wax powder having a specific m.p. into a compound consisting essentially of pitch powder and/or phenol resin powder and refractory aggregates. SOLUTION: Pitch powder in an amount of 10-40wt.% (hereafter %) having <=about 200 deg.C softening point and/or phenol resin powder such as novolac type phenol resin is mixed with 10-90% heat resistant aggregates having about 3-5mm max. particle diameter selected from alumina, silica and zircon, etc. Next, 0.1-10% (by outer rate) wax powder having about 75-135 deg.C m.p. selected from microcrystalline wax, polyethylene wax and Fisher-Tropsh wax, <=10% metal powder such as Al powder, if required, <= about 5% fibers and <= about 10% combustion improver such as kerosene are compounded with 100% the composition, thus the baking repairing material is obtained. |
