摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject glass substrate enabling the precise etching of the recess to be filled with a resin having high refractive index and the decrease in the thermal expansion coefficient difference in the case of forming a TFT, etc., on the surface of the glass substrate. SOLUTION: A glass substrate having a composition satisfying the following conditions is used for the production of a flat micro-lens by etching the surface of the substrate to form recesses to be filled with a transparent resin having high refractive index. The substrate composition is composed of 45-75wt.% of SiO2 , 8.0-19.0wt.% (preferably 9.5-12.5wt.%) of B2 O3 , 4.2-14wt.% (preferably <=10wt.%) of BaO, 10-30wt.% of MO (M is a bivalent metal other than Ba) and <=10wt.% (preferably <=1wt.%) of R2 O (R is a univalent metal).
