<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the melting and fixing of a toner on cloth even when the cloth is ironed, prevent the staining of the base of an iron and facilitate the removal of an unnecessary drawn part by using a dry heat-resistant toner for marking sewing information. SOLUTION: Important features of a heat-resistant toner are that it neither fixes on cloth nor causes color migration at an ironing temperature, usually a maximum temperature of about 220-250 deg.C. It is therefore required that the flow initiation temperature is at least about 300 deg.C. The heat-resistant toner is prepared by subjecting 100 pts. NIBX-8 Black (a product of Sekisui Kasei) and 2 pts. H-2000 (a product of Wacker Chemical) to surface treatment by a hybridization system (marketed by Nara Machine Works) at a rotational speed of 16,200rpm for 5min, thus covering the surface of MBX-8 with H-2000 particles physically fixed thereon. 3 pts.wt. H-2000 is then externally added to 100 pts.wt. of the coated MBX-8 by using a mechanomill (marketed by Okada Precision machinery Industries) at a rotational speed of 2,800rpm for 3min.</p> |
