The invention discloses substituted benzoylguanidines in ortho position of formula I, wherein R(2) and R(3) are as indicated in the claims. The compounds of the present invention are suitable as anti-arrhythmic medicaments comprising a cardioprotective component for the treatment and prophilaxis of infarcts, as well as for the treatment of angina pectoris. These compounds also inhibit pathophysiological processes when ischemically induced lesions are formed, especially in ischemically induced heart arrhythmias.
