The device is used in hydraulic sysmtes in internal building water supply and protects high-pressure pumping stations and the pipelines connected to them from hydraulic hammers. It has cylindrical form and consists of a closed and well sealed steel cylinder (1). In the middle of the device a membrane (4) is fitted between flanges (17) which divides in into two working chambers. The device also contains grating-type partitions (3 & 6), bleeding stopper (5), a system for discharging unwanted impurities and sludge (11), pipe connection (8) which connects it to a pusher of the pumping station, cross pieces (13 & 14) and a hatch. The space above the membrane is filled by condensed nitrogen which is supplied from a compressed nitrogen cylinder, and there is water under the membrane./!
