The support frame for one stage (5) of a building has an assembly of vertical metal posts (1) of the same height as the stage. An inner and of each post i.e. on a floor (4) of the frame via a lower plate (3). The posts can be tubular and of square section. The posts can be connected at their upper ends to a peripheral frame (10) to which they are fixed by an upper plate (2). The building can have an upper stage (6) with posts of a similar height.
