MODULAR FRAME VIBRATORY PILE FLEXIBLE FEEDER SYSTEM

An improved flexible vibratory pile conveyor/feeder system has an infeed/parts purge gate. Independently controlled pile covered feeder surfaces randomly circulate and direct various size and shaped parts into a designated section of the feeder system. This system will provide the ability to feed/orient a multiple array of articles within a single accumulator system. This section of the feeder system can be used by auxiliary camera systems to identify parts for assembly in various types of assembly equipment. Parts are cascaded from the planned hopper to provide separation and distinction in the vision system field of view. An optical scanner is provided for detecting parts flow rate. Parts of acceptable orientation and definition can be selected by vision controlled robots for further processing.
